I’ve piked on the WordPress plugin (well, it’s on the back burner) for the time being, and just doing some other stuff.
One thing I’ve done is bought a funky new URL to make a shortener out of. So I spent some time on Domai.nr to see what I could find that was short, and still made sense.
Ok, so I haven’t written for ages… I’ve been busy… Yadda-yadda-yadda.
So here’s the deal. I came up with an idea for a WordPress Plugin. So I did a search for it, and Nada. I’m actually really shocked.
It’s a relatively simple idea, you just take the ?????? and then replace it with ?????? and there you have it…
Oh wait my WordPress NDA Plugin blacked that out didn’t it…
Oh, and there goes another idea for a plugin…
Well never mind…
I’m seriously going to try and talk about this more that I’ve posted in the past.
Ok, that freaked me out a bit.
I have a plugin installed that automatically strips out the CSS for my blog on CSS Naked Day. I just didn’t realise that it was now.
So that’s why my blog looks a little weird.
This is just a quick throw it out there post (yes I know it’s been ages (I have part written a few other posts in the mean-time)).
I’ve just added the the functionality of RPX: Instant OpenID and Data Portability.
So what does that mean? It means that you can use an OpenID account, or another Third-Party login, such as Google or Yahoo, or Blogger, etc.
This allows you to use this as a Login, for either Admin purposes, or so someone can leave a comment on a post.
Hoping to post some more soon.
I’ve just created a secondary blog griffmiester @ swin.
Why did I do that? Well, the logic was, this is my random blog, and that is my everything related to my uni subjects blog.
I know that for one of my subjects It was suggested to keep a diary of what I’ve learnt when, because I need to explain all this when I submit my portfolio at the end of the semester. Another subject has it’s own blog that we are supposed to write comments on for questions/comments about the tutorials and lectures. I could include a link to a site, and I’d prefer it not to just be my random stuff.
So here I am, now trying to handle 2 blogs. I’m not even sure that I’ve gone about it the right way, as I’ve actually installed WordPress x2 to be able to do it… If there’s a better method, can someone drop me a line.
Well I’m back at Uni for the 2nd Semester of 2008, and I’m going to try and get my blog back up and running again. There have been a few things I’ve kent to blog about, but haven’t got on to them yet.
So this post I decided that now I have an iPhone (that’s another post I’m in the process of writing) I needed to make my blog iPhone friendly. So how do I do that.
I searched WordPress.org and found the WPTouch plugin. I’ve installed it and it’s working well.
I’ve also added the WordPress Mobile Edition plugin, which means that it should now also work for other mobile devices (you know, the ones that aren’t an iPhone). As I currently don’t have a 2nd Mobile phone, I haven’t been able to test this to see how it works. If you do try it out, could you leave me a comment on this post, and evena link to a screenshot would be nice.
I’ll throw up some screen grabs when I can do this on a computer.
Do this on a computer? That’s right I’ve written this post on my iPhone.
And here are some screenshots from an iPhone that I took of my blog.
I’ll write again soon.

That’s all. (oh and it’s mah birfday)
I went to Monx again, but this time for Lunch. Being a Thursday, they have a special, you can get any of their Burgers with a drink for $11. So I ordered the Chicken Burger and a Pot of Coopers (there are limitations on what drink you can get).
I was waiting for it to come along, and was so I was typing up my last post. The guy that run’s the place came and brought me my burger (pictured half eaten) and said “I saw your blog post”… WHAT?!?
He disappeared again. Busy dealing with other meals for other customers.
I was stunned. How did he know I’d written a post previously about Monx?
The only pic of me on the site is that one up the top with the Blue/Green tint, me in sunnies and my Sennheiser HD465′s (which I seem to wear a lot BTW).
He came back and told me that he had done a Google Vanity Search to see what came up if he entered Monx into Google. And there was my Blog post. I must say that freaked me out a little. I mean really am I that recognisable from my banner photo?
Maybe i should pixelate it a bit. 😉
Any-who, getting back to the Burger, I can’t say it’s cheap at $11, but when a pot costs $4, at $7, it does a pretty good job. I really enjoyed the burger, chicken (grilled), avocado, caramelised onion, mayonnaise… The chips were a little dry, and I wouldn’t have minded some “Dead Horse” with them.
Would definitely get it again, or one of the other burgers (I think there were 4 or 5 in total).
